Filming Amy’s Showreel

Day one of filming took place in a dark room studio at McDonald Performing Arts College where Amy Petsalis choreographed a gorgeous contemporary piece to Soulmate by Natasha Bedingfield.

The duet was performed alongside her good friend Jordan Pollard who was a character with a great sense of humour. I had to commend Jordan for his stability whilst carrying Amy in some strenuous lifts to get the shots we wanted. We got some great footage with effectual angles and the indistinct lighting gave a great picture.

Bay Lane in Cronulla was the chosen location for filming day two. Sunset was the perfect time do this shoot for the natural lighting we wanted and to have the sun sparkles dancing on the water and bouncing off Amy meant there was no need for special effects.
