Zealous Choreography and The Arts Centre Gold Coast are giving 15 exceptional local dancers the unique opportunity to be on stage as part of Blood, Sweat and Dance to work alongside professional dancers and experience the process of creating a new dance theatre work.

Being one of the successful dancers, will mean performing Blood, Sweat and Dance alongside Australia’s leading dance professionals and being part of a routine, created by Ben Veitch.  On the cusp of a national touring opportunity, this dance work will premier on the Gold Coast.

FEARLESS is a fantastic new project to help bring awareness to Brisbane’s rising problem of homeless women and children. On November 19th and 20th 2010, we will be putting on a show at The Princess Theatre in Wooloongabba. This show will include Singers, Dancers, Choreographers, Crews and Companies from all over Brisbane. Showcasing many styles and talents from across the city, we will help to raise money for a great cause.

Utopian Dream is influenced by a festival that was run in Bellingen for 10 years called Stamping Ground founded by Mr Peter Stock, One of Travers Mentors, which was a festival that Travers never missed a year of either teaching or as a kid participating. It was a 16day male dance based festival that changed and influenced many men’s careers and lives from dance.

Travers featured in the ABC Australian story based on Stamping Ground in 2002.

Stamping Ground then came to a close, So Travers went forward to bring talent to the Coffs Coast for a small 7 day festival to give something for the youth to do for the school Holidays. The festival then grew to be the Intensive Festival, which then took a jump in popularity and gave Travers more incentive to boost it into an Australia Wide event inviting Dancers and wanna be dancers from all over and over seas to come together to create sweat and be amazed in gorgous sunny Coffs Harbour, Travers Home town, where he has so much support and respect from the locals.

The Utopian Dream took a huge step in 2009 with enquires coming from all over already booking the festival out looking to have 1000 artist, entertainers and dancers attending.

The result is THREE 2 TANGO.

The trio of performers at Three 2 Tango have rewritten the rules of Argentine Tango, using sex, seduction and passionate rhythms to make their own mark on this dance form, revolutionising this traditional dance.

are launching a unique 60 min tango show that tells the story of one woman and two men.

The story reveals both mens fervour to illustrate their talents and battle for dominance over each other,

in the hope of seducing a woman who is well aware of her own strengths!

Each individual piece is a story unto itself,which enables them to use their act in a variety of exciting ways to add elegance and passion to any event.From subtle and seductive walk acts that seduce the crowd to become involved,to a spectacular floorshow of various lengths and combinations. Three2tango will have every audience screaming for more!

This showcase will also mark the introduction of 2 weekly beginner classes to be held at The Church Hall. Now, for the first time in Sydney, they are launching a new casual drop in dance class series at Paddington Church Hall starting SEPTEMBER 2009.

First course starts on ‘Mixed Sex’ class begins on Thursday 10th September 2009 from 6-7pm, costs $12 per class and runs for 12 weeks. No partner required.

In addition, ‘Same Sex’ classes will be launched for the first time in Sydney, starting Monday 7th September 2009 from 6.30-7.30pm

Also for a series of 12 weeks.Patrons attending classes should wear comfortable clothing and preferably no sneakers.

Traditionally, tango was danced by sailors with the women of the brothels of Buenos Aires.

It was common for men to practice the dance with other men,the dance lending well to same sex dancing as it counts on the strength of both dancers and works with the constant struggle for power over the other. Tango is all about finding a partner of equal strength and passion, working together and against each other to create one of the most potent dances in the world.
